*The information below is for the 2026-27 school year. If you are interested in joining the 2025-26 Before/After Care Program, please contact the BAC Admin Office directly to register your student(s).

Program Fees 2026-27

Registration Fee - $15 per session/per student (non-refundable)
 
  • If you need Monday through Friday AM or PM childcare, select both M/W/F and T/TH sessions when you register.  
  • If you are enrolling more than one student, add all sessions for all of your students to the cart before checking out.
Full-time Before and After Care
  • 5 days: Monday through Friday (AM and PM) - $718/month  

*For the 2026-27 school year, Rec & Ed is offering a 5% tuition discount in the form of a credit to families registered for full-time care. This credit will be paid into families' accounts once in January and again in June. More details will be sent to families who register for full-time care. Please note: This credit is not available to families already receiving financial assistance through Rec & Ed or Child Care Network.

Before Care ONLY
  • 5 days: Full-time (M, T, W, Th, F) - $287/month 
  • 3 days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - $172.20/month
  • 2 days: Tuesday, Thursday - $114.80/month  
After Care ONLY
  • 5 days: Full-time (M, T, W, Th, F) - $431/month
  • 3 days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - $258.60/month
  • 2 days: Tuesday, Thursday - $172.40/month 
A2 STEAM at Northside: After Care ONLY
  • 5 days: Full-time (M, T, W, Th, F) - $505/month
  • 3 days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - $303/month
  • 2 days: Tuesday, Thursday - $202/month
Schedule Modification Fees
  • $10 per student, per occurrence
  • Limit of 3 per school year

Registration and Billing

  • To register, families must set up a monthly automatic payment plan with a credit or debit card.
  • *Fees reflect the full cost of running the childcare program for active days of each session, split evenly into ten monthly payments. For the 2026-27 school year, the first payment is due on August 23rd, and the last payment is May 23rd.
  • Please refer to the last section of your receipt for exact monthly payment dates.
  • Payments made by check or cash will avoid credit card processing fees. Checks can be dropped off in our exterior drop box located at the Rec & Ed Office or sent via US mail, and must be received and processed before the due date.  
  • Note: If there is an outstanding balance on your Rec & Ed account, the balance must be zero before you will be able to register for childcare services and other Rec & Ed activities.  
  • To make a payment, log into your Rec & Ed account or email aapschildcare@aaps.k12.mi.us with any questions.

Program Withdrawal

  • To request cancellation of Before/After Care services, please send an email to bacrefunds@a2schools.org. Include the student(s) name, school, session(s) to be withdrawn from, and last expected date of attendance.
  • A 14 day notice of cancellation is required to receive a prorated refund. See end-of-year details below.
    • 2025-26 - The last day to request a schedule modification or program cancellation for the 2025-26 school year was Friday, May 8, 2026.  
    • 2026-27 - The last day to request a schedule modification or program cancellation for the 2026-27 school year is Friday, May 7, 2027. ​ 

Financial Assistance

  • The Rec & Ed Scholarship Program offers 25%, 50%, and 75% childcare fee waivers to Before/After Care (BAC) families. BAC scholarships are available to any student attending a participating elementary school and whose household meets eligibility requirements.
  • Rec & Ed BAC Renewal Applications for the 2026-27 school year are NOW OPEN!

  • Please submit your application as early as possible.
  • The Family Support Program through Childcare Network may offer assistance to income qualified families.
