Mark has been playing volleyball since 1972.  In the 80’s and 90’s, he played in the “MOVE” outdoor sand volleyball circuit in Holland, Grand Haven, South Haven and Muskegon. He also played tournaments in Chicago, Michigan City, and Alpena. For many years Mark played with Rec & Ed's  Men’s and Co-Rec leagues. 

Mark has officiated volleyball since the early 1980’s including youth volleyball, Middle school, High School, NCAA and even some AVP (pro tour beach) volleyball. Click HERE for more info on Mark & the Instructional League.
Description
  • The Instructional League is a "Sign up to Play" league held in Fall & Spring that individual players can register for without having a whole team of their own.
  • The SPRING 2025 Instructional league is scheduled to start on Monday, March 3. 2025. There are 8 nights of play.
  • The idea is to play games AND do some drills each week to work on skills, learn strategy and rules so that you can understand and enjoy volleyball more, possibly moving up to a higher league later.
  • It's great for new players and also for those who have been out of the game for awhile and want to brush up on their skills.
When

Monday night Instructional League -6 player CoRec teams with coaches / instructors Mark Comstock & John Ramirez.

The league plays at Slauson Middle School in Ann Arbor March 3, 2025 - May 5, 2025. No play March 24 and March 31  .  Teams play for one hour each. 
 
Teams play 3 shortened games and use part of the hour each week for drills and instruction.

Game times are usually 7 & 8:15 pm (2 teams are scheduled for each time).

Teams receive both game times on their schedule.

Players pay a player fee & are assigned to teams one week prior to the start of play. Team assignments & schedules are emailed to all registered participants.

 The games are at Slauson Middle School on 1019 W. Washington, Ann Arbor, 48103.

Sign Up:
The cost per individual is $83 (8 weeks).
